What "Policy 1500 Compliant" Actually Means

CAL FIRE Policy 1500 governs the look, fit, and components of every dress uniform issued to a member. The shorthand "Policy 1500" covers six things: fabric (100% wool worsted for trousers, mid-weight wool blend for the jacket), cut (double-breasted dress jacket, six-button front, peaked lapel), buttons (Eureka, gold-tone, exact spacing), brass and insignia (chest pocket, collar devices placed to the regulation), shoes (plain-toe black oxford), and headwear (peaked dress cap with the device for your assignment).

Get any of those wrong and you get sent home from graduation. We don't guess — every product on this page is built to spec, and we'll re-tailor or refund if your battalion changes the spec on you.

Risk-Free Arrival Guarantee: If you purchase expedited shipping and we're late, we pay you $50 per day. No fine print — the guarantee applies only when an expedited window is paid for, but within that, it's real.

$500 Price Lock: Drop a $500 deposit at order time and your shipping rate is locked at standard — even if you decide to expedite later. Zero added cost if you upgrade after the deposit. Pay less than $500 up front and the rush schedule above applies if you need to speed things up.
