What Class M is for
Class M is the Maternity Work Uniform — an optional choice for pregnant employees. It's intended for activities where a full-dress, administrative, or tactical uniform isn't appropriate but semi-formal dress is desired and there is no expectation of emergency response.
Use cases (per Procedure 1502-8): - Public-relations activities - Office tasks - Fire-prevention programs - Training sessions - Meetings, special events, and similar scenarios
The intent: maintain a professional, uniformed presence for pregnant employees engaged in CAL FIRE business while providing comfort throughout pregnancy.
T-Shirt — Dark Navy Blue
- Short or long sleeve, crew neck
- Department-approved T-Shirt marking must conform to Uniform Policy Insignia Guidelines
- Color must closely match the Administrative shirt
- Long sleeve T-shirt shall not be worn with a short-sleeve Class B shirt
