A mirror-polished pick-head axe modeled on the classic Seagrave axe carried by LAFD — built from heat-treated tool steel for digging, prying, and picking with a longer purchase.
Features
- Hand-cast tool-steel head (lost-wax investment casting), heat treated and hand-polished to a mirror finish — solid steel, not chrome-plated
- Near-5" pick with a squared cross-section that digs deep for a stronger purchase
- Integral handle guard extends 1.5" below the head to protect against overstrikes
- Head balanced over the handle axis for a straight, solid swing
- Choice of Tennessee hickory or fiberglass handle, secured with a four-wedge system
