Product Overview
Built-in rechargeability and improved performance are what make the Fenix E35R unique from its predecessor, the Fenix E35 V3.0. This small flashlight — only 4.72 inches long — blasts a maximum 3,100 lumens 853 feet (260 m). The single side switch activates on/off and all lighting modes — no tail switch needed. A magnet sits where a tail switch normally would, letting you attach the light to most metal surfaces for hands-free use. USB-C rechargeable with a battery level indicator, and rated waterproof and dustproof. When you need a bright rechargeable EDC flashlight, the E35R is the right call.
Note: the ARB-L21-6000 battery only works in a Fenix E35R purchased in or after 2025.

Battery
Compatible Batteries
Only ARB-L21 series (21700, 3.6 V) batteries are recommended.
21700 Li-ion batteries are powerful cells designed for commercial applications and must be handled with care. Use only quality batteries with protection circuits. Cell damage or short-circuiting are risks the user assumes.
Battery Replacement
Unscrew the head, insert the battery with the positive (+) end toward the head, then screw the head back on.
Charging
- Switch off the light.
- Plug the USB-A end of the cable into a power source, then connect the USB Type-C end to the light.
- The indicator shows red while charging and turns green when fully charged.
- When charging is complete, close the dust cover to maintain waterproof and dustproof sealing.
Recommended adapter: 5 V / 2 A or higher.
Notes:
- Full charge of the included ARB-L21-5000 battery from empty takes about 3 hours.
- If stored, recharge the light every four months to maintain optimum battery performance.
- Do not remove the battery during charging. The light is usable while charging (except in Turbo, High, and Strobe).
Battery Level Indication
With the light off, single-click the side switch to check battery status. The indicator stays lit for 3 seconds. The indicator in the neck also displays for 3 seconds each time the light is turned on.
- Green steady: 85% – 100% (full)
- Green flashing: 50% – 85% (sufficient)
- Red steady: 25% – 50% (low)
- Red flashing: 1% – 25% (critical)
Only works with Fenix ARB-L21 series rechargeable batteries.
Intelligent Overheat Protection
Extended Turbo or High use builds heat. At 60 °C and above, the light automatically steps down a few lumens to lower the temperature. Once it drops below 60 °C, Turbo or High can be reselected.
Low-Voltage Warning
When voltage drops below a preset level, the flashlight steps brightness down progressively until it reaches Eco. In Eco, the battery level indicator blinks red steadily as a reminder to recharge or replace the battery.
Only works with Fenix ARB-L21 series rechargeable batteries.
Use and Maintenance
- Do not disassemble the sealed head — doing so damages the light and voids the warranty.
- Use only high-quality protected batteries.
- If the light won't be used for an extended period, remove the battery and store separately.
- Lock the light or remove the battery to prevent accidental activation during storage or transport.
- O-rings wear over time. To keep the water seal intact, replace the ring with an approved spare.
- Periodically clean the battery contacts. Dirty contacts can cause flicker, intermittent operation, or failure to light:
- Battery is low → recharge or replace.
- Contacts are dirty → clean with a cotton swab soaked in rubbing alcohol.
If issues persist, contact your authorized distributor.
Warnings
- Keep this light out of the reach of children.
- Do not shine the light directly into anyone's eyes.
- Do not aim the light at flammable objects at close range — the heat can ignite materials.
- Do not bite or place the light in your mouth — failure of the light or internal battery can cause serious injury.
- The body heats up during use. Handle carefully to avoid burns.
- Turn off and lock the light, or remove the battery, when stored in pockets, backpacks, or other enclosed flammable environments.
- The LED is not user-replaceable. Replace the entire light when the LED reaches end of life.
