Collection: CAL FIRE Approved

CAL FIRE approved gear — Policy 1500 compliant, every item

This collection is the master list of every product on our shop that's currently CAL FIRE approved under Policy 1500. If you're a CAL FIRE firefighter (or buying for one), starting here saves you the spec-checking work — every uniform, jacket, boot, and accessory in this list is current.

What "CAL FIRE approved" actually means

Policy 1500 is the CAL FIRE uniform policy document. It governs everything from fabric weight, to brass placement, to allowable patch sizes, to acceptable footwear under various assignment types. We work directly with L2881 leadership and authorized vendors to keep this list current — if Policy 1500 changes, the inventory in this collection changes with it.

Read our plain-English guide to Policy 1500 here if you want the full breakdown.

Why authorized matters

Buying CAL FIRE-approved gear from an unauthorized vendor is the most common reason firefighters fail uniform inspection. Patches sewn slightly off-spec, brass placement wrong by a half-inch, or fabric weight that's "almost right" all fail the same way. We're an authorized CAL FIRE vendor, L2881 endorsed, and our embroidery is done in-house by people who've been doing CAL FIRE patch placement for over a decade.
