The CAL FIRE Law Enforcement print — four locations

  • Left chest — the CAL FIRE Peace Officer seven-point star: PEACE OFFICER banner above, DEPT OF FORESTRY AND FIRE PROTECTION around the Great Seal of the State of California, LAW ENFORCEMENT banner below.
  • Full back — STATE OF CALIFORNIA over a rule line, with POLICE in large block capitals beneath it.
  • Both sleeves — the CAL FIRE shield just below the shoulder seam, with POLICE running down the sleeve.

Single-colour white print on navy — the same CAL FIRE Law Enforcement / Fire Prevention pattern as our long-sleeve shirts. Purchase is restricted to verified CAL FIRE personnel.

The garment

The heavyweight full-zip — Independent's IND4000Z 10oz zip hood, the one you reach for when a midweight isn't enough. Cotton-rich fleece with a soft 100% cotton face, built to layer over a job shirt or wear solo on a cold station morning.

  • 10oz heavyweight fleece — 70% cotton / 30% polyester with a 100% cotton face and a fleece-lined hood
  • #5 nickel kissing zipper — split-front to layer full-length or vent on the move
  • Split-front pouch pocket either side of the zip; heavy-gauge round drawcord with nickel eyelets
  • 1x1 ribbed cuffs and waistband; split-stitch double-needle seams; twill-taped neck
  • Generous fit, sized S–3XL
