CAL FIRE Flying Cross Short Sleeve Nomex Shirt

The CAL FIRE-spec short-sleeve Nomex IIIA shirt wildland firefighters — genuine Nomex IIIA flame resistance in a hot-weather cut, built for the fireline and the station.

Flame-resistant protection

  • Nomex IIIA fabric — inherent FR that won't melt, drip, or support combustion, and never washes out.
  • Self-extinguishing — carbonizes in flame to form a protective barrier.
  • NFPA 1975 station and work wear for emergency services. This is not NFPA 1977 wildland PPE; for the fireline, see our yellow NFPA 1977 wildland gear.

Built for hot-weather operations

  • Short-sleeve cut — keeps torso protection while running cooler in summer heat.
  • Reinforced stitching at stress points for field conditions.
  • Two chest pockets with button closures; shoulder epaulets for rank insignia.
  • Fade-resistant midnight navy — holds CAL FIRE color wash after wash.
