The HAIX Airpower XR2 is the working firefighter and EMS provider's daily-driver station boot — composite-toe, zip-and-lace, with the CROSSTECH bloodborne-pathogen barrier required for EMS scenes and the AIRPOWER XR sole engineered for 12-hour shifts on apparatus floor, ER tile, and patient-side terrain.

This is the same boot HAIX builds for German fire service and rebadges for the U.S. EMS market — German engineering, European leather, U.S.-spec NFPA certification.

Why this boot

  • NFPA 1999 certified — meets the U.S. standard for emergency medical operations.
  • ASTM F 2413 + CAN/CSA-Z195 — composite safety toe rated for both U.S. and Canadian impact/compression standards. No metal to set off a magnetometer or freeze you in winter.
  • CROSSTECH liner — bloodborne-pathogen and chemical barrier, waterproof, breathable.
  • Side-zip + lace — kick off after a 24, kick on in 4 seconds when the bell hits.
  • Composite ladder shank — keeps you on the rail without the weight of steel.
  • Washable, exchangeable insole — pull, wash, replace. Two-year service life from a $20 insole instead of a $400 boot.
